Spiraea alba (meadowsweet)

A delicate shrub with showy conical white blossoms. The leaves turn a lovely yellow gold color in fall. Slowly spreads to form colonies.

Songbirds use it for cover and nesting. The pollen and nectar supports native bees and butterflies. Host plant for the spring azure butterfly.

Prune in early spring if desired.
