One might describe this plant as "unconventional." The small greenish-white flowers turn red in fall, forming branching spikes that resemble octopus tentacles. Native to wetlands, it handles standing water with ease but does not like to dry out. Plant in consistently moist rain gardens, pond edges, or along shorelines.
Unlike other stonecrops, this species doesn't have succulent leaves. Wildlife interactions with this plant are unknown.
