Packera aurea (golden ragwort)

This petite native blooms for several weeks in late spring and has attractive foliage through fall. Spreads by rhizome to form colonies, making this a good choice for a woodland garden groundcover. Prefers partial shade, but tolerates more shade or more sun if soil is moist. Rabbits and deer reliably avoid the toxic foliage.
