Like its cousin bottle gentian, the tubular flowers are pollinated by bumblebees. However, this plant blooms several weeks earlier. Slow-growing but long-lived. The leaves may turn yellowish in full sun or dry conditions, but it is not necessarily a problem. Also called Gentiana alba.
