A lovely clump-forming sedge with fine, flowing leaves. This species was rated a top performer in the Mt Cuba Center sedge trial. Makes an effective green mulch or matrix layer to suppress weeds between flowers. Host plant for many butterflies, skippers, and moths.
Tip: After several years the center of the plant may start to thin. Simply dig and divide to rejuvenate it.
