In early summer, this plant practically drips with spikes of large, cream flowers. As one of the earliest-blooming prairie plants, it is a food source for queen bumblebees in spring. Takes several years to bloom.
Tip: Support the branches with shorter or similar-height plants to prevent wind damage. This plant gets rather wide and bushy. Recommended spacing: 2 to 3 feet.
