A classic, drought-tolerant tallgrass prairie plant with excellent value to wildlife. It can reach impressive heights and the swaying seedheads are quite pretty in the fall. The three-pronged seedheads resembles a turkey footprint, so some call it turkeyfoot. Self-sows easily and may overtake small gardens.
