Also known as wild onion, this plant is edible. Use chopped leaves like chives or eat the bulbs like other onions. A small cluster of bulbs emerges from the stem in late spring, followed by star-shaped flowers. Hardy and adaptable to all sun conditions, though it blooms best in sun.
