Asclepias sullivantii (prairie milkweed)
A nice milkweed for smaller gardens, this is similar to Asclepias syriaca (common milkweed) but spreads less quickly. This excellent pollinator plant is listed as threatened in Wisconsin. Like all milkweeds, it is a host plant for monarch butterflies. It also hosts queen butterflies and the milkweed tussock moth.
